Product Description
Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that Christy Refractories (Christy Kiln Company), the St. Louis, Missouri refractory and kiln-furniture supplier, furnished tunnel kiln cars and car-deck insulation packages that allegedly incorporated asbestos-bearing refractory board and asbestos-block lagging beneath the setting slab to shield the wheel trucks from firing-zone heat.
According to publicly filed asbestos litigation records, kiln-car rebuilds allegedly required cutting, drilling, and disposal of the asbestos-bearing deck insulation, releasing dust in the car-shop and firing-line areas.
