Product Description

Dodge (Reliance Electric / Rockwell Automation) manufactured Taper-Lock bushings, QD bushings, and V-belt sheaves used throughout U.S. paper mills, steel mills, cement plants, and grain elevators for conveyor, fan, and pump drive trains. According to publicly filed asbestos litigation records, Dodge Taper-Lock and QD-bushing packs allegedly incorporated asbestos-fabric anti-galling washers between bushing and hub, asbestos-fiber set-screw seat pads, and compressed asbestos sheet mounting gaskets on split-hub sheaves. Millwrights allegedly handled asbestos-containing washer and gasket material during bushing installation and removal.

Workers Exposed

Millwrights, plant mechanics, industrial maintenance technicians, and plant riggers allegedly disturbed asbestos-fabric anti-galling washers and asbestos-fiber set-screw pads when installing and removing Dodge Taper-Lock bushings and V-belt sheaves on conveyor drives, fan drives, and mill drive trains.
